Marcia Cooper’s work has been featured in solo, two person and group exhibitions throughout the U.S. that include the Katonah Museum of Art, NY; Islip Art Museum, NY; Laguna Gloria Art Museum, Austin, TX; Mesa Contemporary Arts Center, AZ; Orange County Contemporary Art Center, CA; Hopper House, Nyack, NY and the AIR Gallery, Brooklyn, NY. Her large-scale outdoor site-specific public installations include locations at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree, CA and Smith Castle in Wickford, RI.  
She has been a recipient of a Chashama NY AREA Award, a Residency Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center and exhibition awards and honors from museum and gallery jurors that include Francesco Bonami, Ivan Karp, Madeleine Grynsztejn, Henry Hopkins and Kristy Edmunds.  Her work has been represented by Lucy Lippard for academic teaching and is in publications, catalogs and art reviews that include Helen Harrison from the New York Times, Doug Norris at Art New England and Jillian Steinhauer with Hyperallergic. Her work is in private collections in the US and Canada. 
She is a graduate of Queens College, CUNY with a BFA, Honors and the Art Painting Prize and a Residency program in Florence, Italy through Brooklyn College. Following graduation she independently traveled through Europe and upon her return studied at the Arts Student League with Richard Pousette-Dart.
