Marcia Cooper’s work has been featured in solo, two person and group exhibitions throughout the U.S. that include the Katonah Museum of Art, NY; Islip Art Museum, NY; Laguna Gloria Art Museum, Austin, TX; Mesa Contemporary Arts Center, AZ; Orange County Contemporary Art Center, CA; Hopper House, Nyack, NY and the AIR Gallery, Brooklyn, NY. Her large-scale outdoor site-specific public installations include locations at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree, CA and Smith Castle in Wickford, RI.  
 
She has been a recipient of a Chashama NY AREA Award, a Residency Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center and exhibition awards and honors from museum and gallery jurors.  Her work is noted in publications, catalogs and art reviews that include the New York Times, Art New England and Hyperallergic and is represented in private collections in the US and Canada. 
 
Marcia Cooper graduated from Queens College, CUNY with a BFA, Honors and the Art Painting Prize. Following graduation she independently traveled through Europe.  Upon her return to the U.S she studied at the Arts Student League.
